What is a Mee Siput?

Ok I know what mee is = noodles.

I know what siput is = snail

But what the heck is a MEE SIPUT? Snail Noodles?

EWWWWW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I saw this picture on Flickr of what they call a Mee Siput and I don’t see anything with a snail shell so I guess its edible? I’d like to try this though. Anyone know where I can find a Mee Siput?

Maybe I’d live to tell the tale. Or maybe not.

    Ha ha ha..
There is no snail or any kind of moluska in the ingredients..
it just plain flour which was mixed with other non animal ingredients. It is also known as Mee Sanggul in Muar.

Mee Siput exclusively can be found in Muar, Johor. It can be purchase around RM5-RM10 per 1kg.

To cook, just short dip it in deep boil cooking oil until it look crispy…
