I’m on a dating hiatus.

I’m so busy at work and at the end of the day I want nothing better than to go home, have a hot shower, put my feet up and watch telly. There is nothing else I want. Also, there’s my brother’s impending nuptials to help with.

I have never seen a pickier groom than he. I think he’s even pickier than the bride! Wonder if I’ll be as quiet as she is if I were the bride. Somehow, I doubt it.

What would you do?

You don’t like the person your brother is going to marry. But since he is going to marry her anyway you tolerate her presence to keep the peace. It doesn’t make you bosum buddies.

Then, you tell your brother why you don’t like her and he gets angry with you.

I thought I should just clear the air since its going to happen anyway. I’d make my position clear but I did say I’d tolerate her for the sake of family. I’m not going to be best buds with her – thats all I’m saying. I felt I should tell him so he would understand if I refuse to go anywhere with her or with them in future.

For that, he gives me the cold shoulder. Well, whatever it is, I’ve said what I have to say. If he can’t handle it, too bad. Its not like its going to change how I feel. Like I said, I can tolerate but I don’t have to like.

So there.

Some people really get my goat. I just had to deal with one. She did something really stupid (to me) and then when called out, had the gall to get upset over it. I mean, this is really ridiculous! Anyway, there is no accounting for taste and if you can’t handle someone else critiquing your taste then you shouldn’t tell the world about the stupid thing you right?

Do you like to drink tea?

I don’t.

I don’t like any form of tea, be it Chinese Tea, English tea or fruit tea or even floral tea. I find tea insipid and without much character. I don’t like the taste of tannin on my tongue. But caffeine is another matter altogether! I thrive on coffee!

I guess its a taste thing because my brother loves tea and can’t stand coffee!
