Wayhey! Today’s the day of the Olympic Torch run in Malaysia for Beijing 2008.
As is to be expected, the security is super tight. The Torch run this year has been marred by many Tibet protests even including snuffing out the Torch in London. I honestly, have no idea what is going on anyway.
As far as I’m concerned, Tibet and China are as good as one. The Tibetians are really being too much disrupting the Olympics in this manner. Whatever happened to the spirit of the Olympic games?
The origins of the Olympic games was to foster goodwill among warring countries by having a games where one could pit their skills against the other through sport instead of on the battle field. It was a time when differences were put aside in the name of sports.
It looks like this spirit has been forgotten. Someone should just remind the world what the Olympics is about. Zeus, are you listening?
