Can someone tell me why a National airline like MAS would want to get onto the low fareor budget airlines system of offering free air fares?
This is the story on the news and what I saw on tv yesterday. Seriously, MAS should just stop competing with AirAsia. AirAsia is a low budget carrier. Of course fares are lower but they still charge administration fees and taxes and they don’t give food or drink and they are now charging to check in bags too.
MAS should hold its head up and behave as a commercial national carrier should – aloof and above gimmicks like these. A commercial airline carrier is pricey. We all know that. But people still fly them. I would and I did because I feel more comfortable not having to fight for my seats, I like having orange juice on board and I like going to a proper airport, not some low budget hangar.
So, grow up, MAS and stop playing with the kids and start bucking up and playing with the big boys. You don’t see SIA or Cathay Pacific stooping so low do you?!
