Not content with spending money on officers who are supposed to control the prices of consumer goods this coming festivities, the Domestic Trade Ministry now wants to use housewives for undercover missions to weed out errant traders.
There is no mention of them being paid though. I wonder how much they are going to spend on the 2000 housewives and university students they have enlisted so far. I wonder how well versed in wet market prices university students will be too. I mean, get varsity students to check outtruck driving schools. I’m sure they’ll be more familiar with that. But to get them to check out wet markets?
The mind boggles.
