I don’t like how you do thing

I don’t like how you do things.

I don’t like the way you like bashing cheap things online just because they are cheap.

I don’t like the way you say things are crap when there is always a redeeming factor.

I don’t like the way you impose how you feel on others. Not everyone is as sensitive as you are.

I don’t like the way you steal an idea off me and then don’t bother to credit. Its bad blog etiquette.

I don’t quite like you at all anymore.

Pity. We used to be friends and to chat but I’ve seen a side of you in your blogs that I don’t quite like anymore.

Knives sever relationships

I was talking to a friend today about Chinese taboos and she mentioned one that I’d vaguely heard of before but never gave much thought to – do not give knives as gifts to anyone unless you want to sever your relationship with them.

For the Chinese, the giving of a sharp object like knives or scissors mean that you want to sever your relationship with someone. So, if you are thinking of gifting your significant other with a set of lovely kitchen knives or a swiss army knife that he has been wanting, ask him or her to give you some money – even a coin or a dollar would do.

It implies that they “bought” the sharp objects off you so the relationship is maintained.

I was very intrigued by this. I’m not the most superstitious of people, but I’m not about to risk severing relationships with my friends and loved ones!

Whats on your Christmas List?

Mine is a Canon camera. Not just any Canon camera, the Canon EOS SLR! Woot!! Big Bro has promised that for all my help with his wedding and as a late birthday present and Christmas present all in one, he’s going to get me one!

I’m so thrilled. This means I can finally take decent looking pictures!! Hurrah!!! Now I can’t wait till he gets back. I wonder if he’ll get me the body and kit or leave me to get my own lenses. And I can’t afford the lenses! :O

Maybe I can ask for a lens from Dad for Christmas. :) Whee! Whats on your Christmas list?

Bit of a scare

We had a bit of a scare during the wedding dinner that when I think back to it now, is more funny than scary. One of our friends was taking photos for the bridal party as they went to pick up the bride and halfway through, his micro sd ran out of memory! I couldn’t believe it.

So, after a bit of panic searching, he realised he had forgotten to replace the SD card in his camera and that he did have an empty card on him that he was supposed to use. Lucky for him he was not a professional photographer or I’d have skinned him alive! Then again, a pro probably wouldn’t have done such a silly thing right?
