Boo hoo!! I had a call from da boss man last night saying i had to get my butt back online and hook up to the office servers due to an “emergency”. The “emergency” was that he had forgotten to get his report done up even though my input had been given way before I left for Singapore! So, I had to stay in and work today while cousins have gone to shop up a storm at the boxing day sales.

Boo hoo!

In the midst of all the Christmas good cheer, let me just rant a little about a date I recently had just before Xmas. I met a friend’s ex-colleague (complicated?) and after chatting over lunch for about half an hour, he started talking about engagement rings and what he would get for the girl he wanted to marry.

OMG! Scared me silly! I mean, I’m not commitment phobic, but heck! I’d just met him and here he was talking about engagement rings. I might have been happy if I’d liked him, but I found him a little too intense and maybe just a tad too religious. I’m not overly religious so I can’t quite relate to those who are.

Scary wot?

I got my Amazon books from my US cousin! It got to her just the morning she was leaving – lucky or what! I also got a supercharger as a joke gift because I was always complaining about how fast my batteries would drain from my ipod and notebook. Yes, I use them a lot!

I also got a Coach bag from my cousin from the USA. She picked it up from a Coach outlet – we love sales And I got some Body Shop bath stuff from my other cousins. Bro and SIL gave me a bracelet from Tiffany & Co which stunned me. It was the Heart Tag bracelet which I’d always wanted. I got them a hotel stay package LOL… As if the Greek honeymoon isn’t enough eh? Well, Mom is pushing for some grandkids soon so yeah, I figured it’ll come in handy. We are meeting more cousins today – more presents?!

Singapore is awesome at Christmas! I am still here and will be till the New Year woohoo!! I took time out to go to Orchard Road and view the Christmas lights. I remember them as a kid and they used to be so bright and pretty but it seems more subdued this time. Might it be the recession?

That said, I saw a long long LONG queue in front of the Louis Vuitton store. A QUEUE! What’s wrong with these people? Its LV! Its LUXURY luggage! Not like the Swiss Army luggage I got at Taka at a discount.

I’m going out shopping again today. I’m told by my cousin that there are usually Boxing Day sales on in most department stores. I can’t wait to get more shopping done!
