My Private Thoughts

M at the office asked me about age spot removal the other day. LIke HELLO! DO I LOOK OLD ENOUGH TO HAVE AGE SPOTS? Silly old bat! I told her to try laser and I gave her the referral of this doctor friend who is good but very expensive. Still, that’s the price of vanity isn’t it? Money? But seriously. Did she think I’d know these things? Silly old bat!

You know, I used to remember when I had to buy 9v batteries for a whole host of uses. These days, they use rechargeable li-on batteries for almost anything. That’s great because disposable batteries can be REALLY EXPENSIVE!! I have a wireless keyboard and it drinks battery juice like vodka. I have to replace the batteries every 2 weeks because i’m online so much! Kills me everytime. Yet I can’t give it up because I like the flexibility of a wireless keyboard. Plus, who the heck wants wires everywhere these days?

With all the new tech jobs available these days, I wonder if I should not have trained in that field. I am interested in it after all. And I hear they are paid very well. Actually I know they are paid very well. FB is a tech guy and a good one so he’s always in demand as a freelance consultant. Its no wonder he has that car and that lovely apartment. I have a lovely apartment too, but its not quite mine since it wasn’t bought by me. Still who’s complaining huh?

I read about all the accidents that have been happening locally involving buses and lorries and how people are just dying like flies because of the irresponsible bus companies and drivers and I sometimes wish we had people like Houston Truck Accident Attorneys that can sue the pants off the company and whoeever else is responsible to hold them liable for the loss of life. Some of these drivers are on drugs for heavens sake! And they have summonses. Yet they are out there driving buses, holding the lives of so many people in their hands. These people should be shot.
